Carlo Crocione (1976), PhD in Economics, joined Van Berings as Counsel in 2019, after having covered important academic positions as Adjunct Professor of “Integrated Finance” (University Perugia and University of Terni) and as Strategic Finance Advisor and Certified Auditor.

Integrated Finance:

Leveraging on his strong academic and professional background, Carlo Crocione has a wide experience in strategic financial and business consultancy matters.

He advises corporations, banks, securities firms and investment banks on a wide array of issues associated with strategic planning, M&A financing, asset value optimization’s strategies, as well as with the preparation, review and analysis of business plans, financial budgets and funding structures.

Insolvency, Bankruptcy & Restructuring:

Carlo Crocione has a long-standing experience in debt restructuring and insolvency related matters. His practice focuses on domestic and cross-border insolvencies and large corporate restructurings, advising directors, banks and debtor companies on any debt restructuring and distressed assets issues.

Carlo Crocione regularly advises major corporate clients on the set up and periodical review of the organizational, administrative and accounting processes and procedures required by the so called “Code of Corporate Crisis and Insolvency” (Law 14/2009) by designing and developing ad hoc Management Structure Defense Models (“Assetti Organizzativi”), and related compliance issues.

Banking & Finance:

Carlo Crocione has an in-depth knowledge and long experience in credit risk mitigation projects with focus on the acquisition and management of government subsidized guarantees issue by Mediocredito Centrale (Law 662/1996). He further supports corporate clients with respect to the identification of the most adequate funding sources and to the procedure for obtaining secured loans.
